Every chart

All 111 prebuilt charts: team and player scatter charts, leaderboards and week-by-week lines. Each one opens ready to go, and you can change the teams, highlights and stats from there.

Team charts 37

Two stats, every FBS team: who sits where and what it means.

Up front

Arguments

  • Poll vs. realityDo the polls match the numbers? Each dot is a team in this week's AP Top 25 or the SP+ top 25, placed by its AP rank and its SP+ rank.
  • Good vs. earnedIs a team as good as its record? SP+ measures how well a team plays; strength of record (from PRIME) measures what its wins and losses are worth against its schedule.
  • Schedule vs. recordWho has won, and against whom? Further right is a harder schedule so far (strength of schedule, from PRIME); higher is a better win percentage.
  • Record vs. expected winsEvery game is turned into a win chance using SP+, and those chances are added up into the wins a team should have by now.
  • Results vs. efficiencyElo uses only final scores and carries over from season to season, so it moves slowly and still reflects last year a little.

Roster building

  • Talent vs. resultsIs a team getting the most out of its roster?
  • The blue-chip thresholdWhat share of each roster was a 4- or 5-star recruit, against SP+.
  • Money vs. resultsDoes spending buy results? Each team's NIL roster value against its SP+.
  • More with less: talentWho is doing the most with the least? Talent runs backwards on this chart: the further right, the less recruiting talent on the roster (247Sports composite).
  • More with less: moneyThe same idea with money. Roster value runs backwards: the further right, the cheaper the roster (NIL roster value from The NIL Standard, power-conference teams plus Boise State and Oregon State).
  • Portal rebuildsDid rebuilding through the 2026 transfer portal work?
  • Returning production vs. resultsRight brought back more of last season's production; up is better this season.

RECEIPTS

  • Good or lucky?Who's for real? Across is luck: wins from close games and bounces, against what the team's play says it should have.
  • Coach or roster?Where are the wins coming from? Across is the wins a team's roster is worth on paper (247Sports talent and returning production); up is the wins it adds by playing better than that roster should.
  • Is the roster worth the money? Each team's NIL roster value against the wins its roster is worth on paper.
  • Talent vs. coachingRight has more talent on paper; up wins more than that talent says it should.
  • Soft schedule or lucky bounces? Two ways a record lies. Right played an easier schedule than average; up won more close games and bounces than its play earned.
